Public Transportation.

Public transportation is defined as the infrastructure of a city or country that transports its citizens throughout the country at affordable prices that is not a burden to the general public and can increase the public's convenience.However, only the first world countries have this definition suited to their public transportation system. In the developing countries, this is practically impossible. Developing countries have a very faulty way of developing their public infrastructure. The governments in these developing countries do not have clear blueprints of their cities developments in the next few centuries. This actually causes devastating effects to the city's public infrastructure as the city grows throughout the next few decades.

First of all, this causes the city to be messy and congested. Planning is the crux of every success story and in this case, planning ahead for the city's public transportation is a definite must in every country. Only with clear and defined planning, can there be productive development. A well-planned city would definitely attract international business corporations to invest in our city. Why? A well-planned city would have less congested streets and would prove to be more convenient to the working force of the city. With more efficient transportation, people can travel around the city faster and easier. this would save time and effort. For example, in Singapore, the public transportation is ranked as one of the best in Asia due to its efficiency and punctuality. Therefore, Singapore is always ranked as one of the best business destinations in the whole world.Therefore, in my paradigm I strongly believe that a well-developed city in terms of public transportation is the key to the city's success.

Secondly, an underdeveloped city in terms of transportation would cause the citizens to have a lower quality of life. They would not be able to travel around the city at ease. This would cause the city to be clustered in a few separate regions. This situation would not promote cohesiveness that is one of the main features of a well-developed city. Generally, this city would be considered as backwards and lousy. This would definitely affect the country's international reputation as a country that is under-equipped to develop its own country if not a country whose name is not even known in the international community.

Therefor I strongly adhere to the fact that to be able to be ranked as a first world country, it is not to build great skyscrapers and monuments to show to the world but rather to first develop that country's public infrastructure to increase the quality of life of its citizens and to attract international business cooperation to further develop the country in terms of economy and not fame.
