Ferris wheel

Recently, one of my close friends shares her problem in love with me. Her boyfriend is going for an internship and she is worried that she will lose her boyfriend. I tend to her with the theory of Ferris wheel, which I am going to share with you here.

Ferris wheel, as you all know, is an amusement ride consisting of a large upright wheel rotating on a fixed stand and having seats around its rim suspended freely so that they remain right side up as they revolve. As we reach the highest point we are able to have a very fascinating bird-eye view of the surrounding. However, what I am going to say is the relation between the Ferris wheel with our lives.

As Ferris wheel is a circular structure, it can only move in a circular motion. However, since the seats around its rim are suspended freely, the passengers are actually going up and down. This can be symbolized as the ups and downs in our lives. Similar to a Ferris wheel, we cannot stay at the highest point at all the times. Sometimes we will have one or two obstacles or falls in our lives. Therefore, we must accept these low periods as challenges in our lives and learnt from it.

Besides, the continuous circular motion of the Ferris wheel can also be symbolized as hopes in our lives. Life is full of hope. Although we might stay at a low period for a long time, we are able to run out of it when the time comes as long as we are willing to make a change. Just like the Ferris wheel. Even though we have reached the lowest point, we still can go up again as long as we are willing to pay for it. Hence, we should have faith that hope is always in front of our journey of life as long we are willing to continue our journey.

In conclusion, the journey of life is never smooth. However, we should not be stopped by all the obstacles. In turns, we should learn from all the obstacles and don’t repeat the same mistake in the future. Hope is always in front of us. If you stay resilient, you will find a bright rainbow waiting for you in front and an impressive sunset behind you.
