Friends

The word 'friend' is defined as people who have physical or emotional relationships with us. They surround us and they socialise and communicate with us on an everyday basis or on a once in a blue moon basis. This relationship may be benefit-oriented or may be mutually emotionally-affected. Therefor to clear up the mess of having so many kinds of friends, let me help you classify friends into three big categories that will generalise the friends that you have.

Firstly, there are the "hi and bye" friends who randomly occur in your life and you are just mere acquaintances and do not have any strong emotional relationships. These friends just appear in your life at different stages without too long and you do not really care about these friends because you do not really have the chances to understand them at a deeper level. These friends are most probably benefit-oriented in their friendship towards you because they do not really want to share their emotional side with you. In my opinion, these are the friends that you do not have to put too much emphasis on.

On the second level, there are the "everyday" friends. These are the people that you see and come into contact with on an everyday basis. These people are the ones that you interact physically the most. But, that does not necessarily mean that they are emotionally attached to you. These friends may also be benefit-oriented in their attitude towards you. Although you may think you are very close tot hem but they are the ones who most often exploit you in return for their own gain.

On the final level, there are the "closely-knit" friends who are the ones that are always there for you. However, you may really feel that way towards them but these friends are the ones that will comfort you in times of hardships that you are going to go through. These friends that will go all the way for you in the same way as you would for them. I believe these are the true friends that one can only hope to look for because "a friend in need is a friend indeed" and these friends are hard to come by. Therefor these friends should be cherished dearly if you have found one already. However, if you have not, do not worry because only time can tell your true friends.

Therefore in a nutshell, I believe that true friends are too easy to find but true friends are always the hardest to come by. Hopefully, everyone will have one in their lives.
